Levees.Org

In 2005, my mom and I founded not-for-profit Levees.Org together while evacuated from New Orleans.  Today, Levees.Org has 24,000 members and six state chapters.  The website has gone through many iterations as the web has changed.  The current iteration, built on Wordpress, focuses on social networking and online video.

Alumni Social Network

Using Buddypress, a recently-released platform based on Wordpress, I developed a social networking website for an undisclosed alumni organization of a major university.

This site features a custom-built search engine, Twitter integration and Content Management System (CMS) back-end.

The New Orleans Levee

Not to be confused with Levees.Org, The Levee is a satirical newspaper for New Orleans.  Because the newspaper had unique demands, its CMS was built from scratch.

AreWeAtRisk.org

Featured on New Orleans Eyewitness News Sunday Edition, this online tool allows anyone in the country to find dangerous levees near their zip code.  A powerful back-end allows for a basic front-end.
